The Global Freedom Coalition proposes, 09 am (BST), Saturday July 4th 2009 to start a global week of action, when people in every country, city, town and village oppose 'Big Brother' surveillance and human rights violations.

Freedom is about our whole lives. It's about who we are as people and the purpose and dignity of our very existence. It's about the kind of world we want our descendants to inherit.

Universal Declaration of Human Rights

If you are concerned about the violation of Human Rights, then design banners, posters and flyers; get blogging, posting, e-mailing and texting and get something organised in your part of the world for July 4th 2009.

Thanks John. Oops!! Sorry about the HTML and thanks for pointing it out - it's fixed now. We don't have a contact page yet, as we're still working out how we handle contacts across such a loose coalition of dozens of very different organisations (posts on this blog can come from many different sources). Hopefully this is something we can work out soon though - check the list of member organisations and our privacy policy (http://www.putpeoplefirst.org.uk/privacy-policy/) before then though for who we are.

The html on the 'web button' pages will only work for buttons embedded into this site. Also cannot find any 'about' or contact page.
