Union activists getting active

To support the Put People First march and rally on March 28th, the TUC’s Activist Academy will be running a weekend school for young trade union activists (under 27s) on Saturday February 28th and Sunday March 1st at Ruskin College Trade Union Education centre, Oxford.

The weekend school aims to engage young trade unionists in the Put People First campaign, supporting union efforts to mobilise, and raising the profile of unions at the event. If you’re interested in getting involved, you can find out more at the Stronger Unions blog.

    Dear Bothers and Sisters

This is a good initiative and I hope to see thousands of leaflets on the day from the unions urging people to join up and fight back.
If union membership is around 25% then 75 are not in. The stewards committees branches and trades councils were smashed and the bottom line is this is why the bankers and their political backers have been allowed to drag us down.
Rebuilding the rank and file, there is no other way
