COACHES TO THE MARCH
The traditional way for groups to get to events like this is by booking a coach – and a full coach is environmentally efficient too. We are not organising coaches centrally, but we will advertise here any spare capacity anyone can offer on coaches that they have booked. Let us know if you’ve got one you’d like us to add.

- Barnsley: NEW PICK UP INFO. Barnsley GMB and Barnsley College UCU are organising a coach that leaves Wakefield at 7am, Barnsley 7.30am. To book a ticket and to get coach details contact Henry on 01226 292613.
- Birmingham: coaches will leave from Carrs Lane Church opposite Moor Street Railway Station at 8am on March 28th in order to arrive in London by 11am and to return by 8pm. Places are still available. Other pick ups from the Midlands may be possible if there is demand. Tickets £12 each for the return journey and concessions £8. - Dorset (new information): The bus will leave Yeovil bus station at 07:00, and stop to pick people up in Ringwood (Hampshire). The bus will go via Sherborn and Blandford Forum so can stop to pick people up there if need be. It will leave London at 17:00. Tickets are £11. People should bring cash along on the day to pay. - Manchester (Trades Union Council): is organising a coach that will leave Chorlton Street Bus Station, near Piccadilly, at 7.00am and will return from London shortly after 5.00pm. - Manchester (Manchester University Students’ Union): Coach leaves at 6:30am, returning from London at 6pm that evening with those who need to return. - Oxford: Organised by Unison health branch. Tickets are £10 waged/£8 unwaged and can be bought online here. Alternatively organisers can arrange to meet someone with a cheque payable to Oxfordshire UNISON Health Branch. People are urged to buy tickets as soon as possible to avoid a last minute rush on seats where people might be disappointed. Coaches leave St. Giles, central oxford for London at 9am on 28th March.

Plymouth: Plymouth Trade Union Council (TUC) is organising a coach that will leave Plymouth Bretonside bus station at 7am, calling at Exeter Sowton Park & Ride and Tiverton Parkway Rail Station, returning to Plymouth by 11pm. - Portsmouth: Portsmouth City UNISON is organising a coach. Coach will leave Fratton Bridge at 9 am and will pick up in Cosham at 9.20 am. The coach is aiming to return to Portsmouth by 8 pm. Tickets are £15 waged and £10 unwaged and can be paid for on the day of the protest. You do not have to be a UNISON member to book a place on this coach but it is vital that people book places on the coach as soon as possible by contacting Jon Woods on 07921 775828 so that we can ensure we have enough transport in place.

Again we can publicise these on this website. Alternatively there are various commercial coach companies which probably provide the cheapest way for individuals to get to London – and here’s a site that can search out cheap train tickets.
