GETTING TO THE MARCH

You need to get to the assembly point between 11am and noon – and preferably nearer 11 than 12 as we will need to sort everyone out before the march moves off at noon.

Nearest stations

If you are making your own way, the easiest way to get there will be to take a tube to Embankment or a train to Charing Cross and walk along the Embankment. Temple tube station will be open but will likely be very crowded and much harder to access. Waterloo station is a short walk over the river for those coming by Bakerloo line or national rail, and Blackfriars mainline station is just to the East. Please note that the Jubilee line will not be running to Waterloo that day and that Blackfriars underground station is currently closed.

There are of course lots of buses, but don’t even think about driving there! You can get your own travel schedule for all types of public transport from Transport for London’s excellent online Journeyplanner tool.

Coaches

The traditional way for groups to get to events like this is by booking a coach – and a full coach is environmentally efficient too. We are not organising coaches centrally, but we’re advertising those coaches we know of – check the list out here.

Alternatively there are various commercial coach companies which probably provide the cheapest way for individuals to get to London – and here’s a site that can search out cheap train tickets.

Keeping in Touch

We hope to have a volunteer to keep the transport section of this site up to date very shortly, and will post contact details as soon as we have them.
