Who is storing your data?
The “Send your message to the G20″ widget action, including hosting and data collected through actions on any site globally, is managed by CAFOD (Catholic Agency for Overseas Development) on behalf of the Put People First coalition. BOND (British Overseas NGOs for Development) owns the data – it is the Data Controller on behalf of the Put People First coalition. CAFOD, which is a member of this coalition, is managing the process of collecting and storing the data – it is a Data Processor.
Should you wish to know what personal information of yours the Put People First coalition has stored, you can request a copy of it in writing (to Put People First, BOND, Regent’s Wharf, 8 All Saints Street, London, N1 9RL) and BOND is obligated to deliver that information to you on behalf of the Put People First coalition.
For actions taken across social media sites and non-partner NGO sites, the Data Controller will remain BOND. For actions taken on the putpeoplefirst.org.uk website Data Controller is BOND, but data will be collected and stored by TUC (Trade Union Congress).
What will we do with your data?
If you opted to receive more information about the G20 meeting and the work of the Put People First coalition when submitting your details, you will receive email communications from Put People First coalition. You can unsubscribe from this at any time by following instructions on emails you receive.
If you did not indicate that you want to receive more information your details will be stored safely but you will not be contacted further by any organisation.
By adding your details to the action you are making it possible for Put People First coalition to:
- Make sure that the G20 leaders know you are closely following the decisions they are making about our global economy
- Create overall totals of the number of people taking actions for use in the media
Users of the putpeoplefirst.org.uk site will have non-identifiable log file information stored about their visit. This is compiled in website statistics to enable the coalition to judge overall performance of the site. Your information as part of this will not be separated or identified to you.
Put People First coalition will not sell the information it collects, and will not share it with anyone else unless you specifically give the coalition the permission to do so.
